All Around the Year

(1979)
A collection of poems by

Here is life on the land as it is lived now by many farming families, but also a way of life that has become remote to most people. The author reveals the problems the farmer has to contend with; such as weather, stock, disease, crops, finance. Ted Hughes has written a new poem for each month of the year, and there are numerous photographs of the countryside by James Ravilious and drawings by Robin Ravilious.
