As the last child born in Jordisk, I’ve never known a world free of the Wonderland disease.

I was found abandoned in a field the day the disease struck and raised in the supernatural community—who seem to have some resistance to the disease.

Twenty-five years later, every human besides myself and nearly half the supernatural population have fallen to the disease. Their bodies are little more than empty vessels with no souls.

They don’t think.
They don’t feel.
They just exist.

I’ve lived my life surrounded by love, and I believed the disease couldn’t touch my world. Of course, I’m proven wrong when two of my parents are felled—both omegas, who seem to be the most susceptible.

Just days later, reports spill into our community of the first deaths in twenty-five years. Something has changed, but we don’t know what or why.

Although they try to hide it from me, I see how my parents have lost all hope—because there’s no cure for the Wonderland disease.

I refuse to give up on the ones I love. There has to be a cure, and I’m going to find it—no matter what it takes.

Even if it means selling my soul to our uncaring alpha gods.
