Folks in Moose Head Mills have a lot to celebrate. Val Sockalexis has been elected sheriff, Ruth Daigle has two new cats to come home to, and a famous author has chosen their little town as his new home. Things are looking up.
Then someone murders the bingo caller.
It's not exactly the fresh start Val was hoping for, and with a deputy position still unfilled, the sheriff's department is stretched thin.
