As a nonagenarian widow, Kate Keepdown still revelled in being outrageous. Her anxious friends were quite unable to dissuade her from assembling her relations to help celebrate her birthday and, most important of all, to learn the proposals for the making of her Will. The family solicitor had tried desperately to warn the childless old lady that the scandalous scheme she'd planned could lead only to trouble, but he never expected that the weekend would result in violent death.
