(The third book in the Highland Wolf series)
A novel by

Kenna Moncur longs to escape her life at remote Sgathach Dun Castle where few folk venture close, wary of rumours that an evil spirit lurks within its walls and fearful of her father's reputation as a cruel and villainous laird. But when Kenna meets darkly handsome Conall Campbell, son of a powerful man, a whole new world opens up before her. Locked in Sgathach Dun's grim dungeon, Conall faces a terrible fate and Kenna takes pity on him, trying to keep him alive, and risking all to do so, while dark forces move against his clan. Does he return the feelings she starts to have about him or is he just using her to escape Sgathach Dun's horrors? If she frees him will it be the beginning of a new life or will an old curse stalking the Moncur family bring her new world and her new love crashing down?
Wild and handsome Conall Campbell has been sent to live at Dunslair Castle with his father's best friend, Rory Mor Campbell, in an effort to curb his wild ways. He is expected to relinquish his dissolute lifestyle and become a man of stature like his father, Laird Duncan Campbell. But there is a darkness within Conall and he is at war with himself and the future laid out before him. With his clan still rebuilding from a fearsome battle with a rival clan some years earlier, these are dangerous times for the Campbells.
When Conall disappears Rory begins a desperate search whilst trying to deal with his growing attraction to a mysterious woman he has sworn to protect from a charge of witchcraft.
Taken prisoner by the Moncur clan, Conall must surrender his pride in favour of mere survival and his captor's daughter, pretty, trusting Kenna Moncur might just be his means of escape. Will her budding love for him break against the darkness within him or can she lead him to the light? And in tying her fate to his Conall could be leading her into danger... because someone, somewhere, is out to destroy him.
The Dark Wolf's Deliverance takes the reader along on a desperate flight across the Highlands and into a deadly rivalry over the love of a beautiful and vulnerable young woman, all set against the backdrop of a murderous witch hunt engulfing Scotland.

Kenna was struck by him for she had never seen any man like him before, so different from the other unfortunates dragged into Sgathach Dun. This was no cowering wretch. This man was tall, darkly handsome and fine in a way that men who are only recently grown into manhood can be. Hard body, neck thickening and arms roped with muscle, voice turned to a deep growl, too much masculinity and vigour for a body to contain.
Piece by piece her brothers would take it all away. Through their cruelty and torture, starving and beating, they would reduce his beauty to nothing and by the time they were finished he would be a shell of what he was before, all his strength and honour sucked out, leaving a skeletal thing, begging for the mercy of death.
Here he was, at the peak of his beauty and she ached for what they would take from him. It was such a waste. He was young, a little older than her, she guessed, and perhaps he would not get any older or any finer than in this moment, so new to manhood, perfect and pulsing with life. When he shouted out his defiance at her brother Ross, in his growl of a voice, there was real courage in it.
'Fool,' she thought, 'stay down, be quiet, save yourself.'
But he did not.
When he tried to rise one final time they dragged him away, wrenching his arms back so hard they almost tore them from their sockets. It was at that point that the young man looked up, straight at her, blinking away blood, and in his eyes, she saw rage of the most awful kind, but not a single flicker of fear.
