Fueling Her Alien Firefighters
(2026)(The second book in the UFOmegaverse series)
A novel by Zoe Nash
One busty baker who can’t stop burning her muffins.
Three Milky Way Firefighters on a two-month Earth rotation.
Misty McTavish is about ready to call quits on her lifetime dream of making the world’s best hybrid pastries. Cranberry Cruffins. Bacon Brookies. Coconut Croffles. Turducken-inspired cheesecake stuffed with red velvet, milk chocolate truffles.
She just can’t seem to bake without burning everything these days. Heck, she almost burned down Whisky Business trying to Frankenstein mash-up a Sicilian cannoli with her great-grandmother's Cranachan recipe!
Before she throws in the towel, Misty decides to get back to basics. Scones. Not overly complex. At culinary school, she could make them in her sleep. Somehow, she still ends up with scorched ceilings and an out-of-control flame. To make matters worseboth of her fire extinguishers are inoperable, the overhead sprinklers don’t activate, and the kitchen is quickly filling with smoke.
As she desperately tries to save her bakery, three large figures burst into the kitchen. Her vision is blurry. Her head hurts. She's totally confused. Her saviors can’t really be walking, talking rocks, right?
Brox. Sagan. Zaphod.
They drew the intergalactic short stick and ended up monitoring Earth’s wildfires. It’s a hazard duty, but someone has to do it. The concealed outpost is bare bones, with dehydrated meals and zero entertainment. When their scanner pings a small nearby fire, they’re bored enough to go observe their Terra counterparts in action. Only... no humans come to help.
Thirty minutes later, the three alien firemen stand in front of an Omega human that smells smoky, yet fracking divine. This is exactly why it’s against protocol to mix with the locals. Human scents can weaken the strongest off-worlder...
The bakery fire might be doused, but hotter flames are about to ignite. With the help of extraterrestrial ever-flame, endless alien appetites, and three baking assistants that can’t be burned, Misty just might make an out-of-this-world dessert and a whole lot of sweet, sweet love.
