Winter and its incessant downpours have finally ended. The ground has dried, and the Atalian Legions have moved out toward the Margraviate de Valier. Olgerd III and his army are already waiting for them midway between Conterne and the Sapphire Citadel, in order to join forces and begin the conquest of Northern Bergonia.
Meanwhile, Max is returning to his lands at the head of a large caravan of provisions, having taken control of his western border. Having been cut off from all communication, it is only upon his arrival in Gondreville that he learns of the recent bout of sabotage, and the deaths of his people.
From there, Max's path lies in the direction of the Sapphire Citadel, beneath whose walls his army will have to clash with an enemy force many times its size.
