Under the Eye of Kali

In the middle of the tourist season in tropical South India, four American women meet over breakfast at Hotel Delite, managed by Anita Ray, a young Indian American woman, and her aunt. One of the American guests boasts she is on her way to Thailand to smuggle medicine into Burma. But within twenty four hours, one of the women is deathly ill and another is missing. Anita can find no reason for the first woman's sudden bad turn, and a search of the area fails to turn up the second woman. All Anita finds is a fragment of clothing the woman was last seen wearing. Anita continues to search for the missing guest in the deceptively beautiful world of the tropics.
