A Fellowship of Misfits & Muffins
(2027)(The seventh book in the Adenashire series)
A novel by J Penner
Sometimes home is sweeter than you realize.
Ever since Taenya Carrelli was young she had to be perfect. But moving to Adenashire and starting her bakery from the ground up with her once Baking Battle rival turned best friend, Arleta Starstone, changed all that.
The woodland elf is more than happy in the small town, with her girlfriend Jez, a quiet life and supportive friends.
So when a young elf delivers Taenya an invitation to judge the next Langheim Baking Battle she is torn. Taenya learns she’s had a larger influence on aspiring bakers back home than she knew. But traveling to the elven city risks dredging up a past she’d rather leave behind.
Reluctantly, the elf agrees to judge but only if Arleta is allowed on the panel. So the two women (and maybe a sneaky stowaway) travel to Langheim and back to where their adventure started.
With the help of friends and plenty of delicious baked goods, Taenya will face her past self and possibly realize that going home again can indeed heal a heart.
Genre: Fantasy
