In this continuation of THE VINEGAR SEED, we hear the story of Elizabeth, left alone in England when her sister leaves for America and a new life. When her first husband and father of their two children dies, Elizabeth remarries, finally realising her dream of having a house 'with two front doors.' Elizabeth decides to visit her sister in America ... with telling repercussions for her and her daughters.
