Easily embarrassed, she frowns upon coarse language, but she’s not without a sense of humour. Best friends with Detective Sergeant Mandy Hiscoe, the local head of CID, best enemies with her Huddersfield-based boss, DI Paddy Quinn, she’s a devotee of toasted teacakes at Terry’s Tea Bar, and she believes that when someone does wrong, they should answer for it, especially when it’s MURDER.
A dedicated nosy parker, aided by a regular cast of supporting characters, ride along with Christine as she travels the highways and byways of her various investigations, often taking her up a blind alley, but usually getting it right-ish in the end.
