I didn’t make a scene. I made history.
After my parents died, I stayed in our small town and worked to put my boyfriend through his dream college. I pulled down double shifts to make ends meet. What did I get for it all? Watching him propose to another woman while I stared wordlessly from across the restaurant.
So I did what any jilted woman would do. I made a scene that our town would talk about for years. And then I went a little wild.
Unfortunately, my ex’s older brother is the new town sheriff, and he doesn’t like me stealing a horse or having a little fun now.
