A novel by

Missina, the energetic, young school teacher from Minnesota, is speechless when she learns the dashing cowboy, who continues to appear at the foot of her hospital bed, is the very one she had just traveled half way across the country to rescue her nephew from! But when the hospital informs her that this is the same man she must now live with for the next six weeks, she believes her life has gone from bad to worse. Accepting her fate, she agrees to recuperate at the ranch, only to find her self in need of a rescue. Not from her serious injuries, or the facilities, but from falling in love with the ranch owner! Chase Carson barely recognizes the body that was torn from the mangled mass of metal, which had once been her car, as the aunt of one of the boys enrolled in his summer program for disadvantaged children. Against his better judgment and to his dismay, he soon finds the young woman settled into his beloved ranch. Before long he realizes that he is as enthralled by his guest as the children are and becomes even more determined to resolve the clandestine circumstances surrounding his homestead. Just as he believes everything is almost settled, a tragic death tears through the ranch and he discovers that Missina has been informed that another woman is pregnant with his child...
