He made a living pretending to read minds. Then someone else’s thoughts answered.

Austin Jeroa is a stage mentalist, a professional liar with a good suit, quick hands, and no belief whatsoever in real magic. His act is built on cold reading, misdirection, body language, and the comforting certainty that psychic powers are fake.

Then, in the middle of a performance, he hears a stranger’s secret inside his skull.

Moments later, Austin is ripped from Earth and dropped into a world ruled by classes, levels, magic, and monsters. The people who summoned him believe they have found an oracle. What they actually found is a man trained to survive by reading people better than they read themselves.

Their mistake may be the only reason he lives.

Chained beneath a research facility is Zyrrakai, an ancient being labeled a demon by the people studying it. Tortured, misunderstood, and waiting for someone who can finally hear the truth, Zyrrakai offers Austin a choice: remain a tool in someone else’s experiment, or become something no one in this world knows how to control.

When Austin’s class awakens, his old stage tricks become something far more dangerous. He can read intent before violence happens, twist perception, strike with invisible psychic force, and link minds together in the middle of battle. Every power grows from the same skill that made him a fraud on Earth: understanding what people are trying to hide.

Now Austin must learn the rules of a brutal new reality, master magic built from deception and perception, and decide how far he is willing to go when survival itself becomes a form of manipulation.

Because the man who summoned him was not only cruel.

He was preparing for something.

And he may have been right.

Path of the Mind Mage is a progression fantasy / LitRPG adventure featuring mind magic, class evolution, tactical combat, found family, eldritch threats, and a reluctant hero whose greatest weapon is knowing exactly how people break.
