Melanie Rawn will break your heart. She will write two outstanding novels and then either walk away or produce a monstrosity that requires a whole other trilogy to attempt to fix her mess.
She's done it several times. I love her writing, characters, etc., but she simply doesn't seem to know how to tie up a series.
