Jesse's Plight

Ace Edwards, a Private Investigator in Dallas, is contacted by college classmate Jesse Montgomery.. Jesse pleads with Ace to come to New Braunfels and work to recover his wife who has been kidnapped. Ace contacts his favorite partner, Kit Carsen Levitt, who agrees to go with him. He adds his friend Tom Roberts to the team as a computer guru, then agrees to take the case. Ace and Kit find themselves confronted with an extremely talented group of kidnappers as they learn about the history and present of New Braunfels and Gruene. No matter which way they turn, the brick walls are there as the kidnappers continue to thwart them. Along the way, traffic tie-ups, ambushes, and more kidnappings confront them. In the end, Ace and Kit discover far more than what Jesse hired them to do.
