Mercy runs the all-night diner, turns once a month, and still carries the scar from where the last collector took its cut. And out at the strip mall there's Renée, a necromancer who's been sitting on the Sump's lid since the sixties.
There's six pegs on the office wall. Five of them have coats on. Gray's worried his is going to be the sixth.
