A Whisper of Romance

Stranded in San Diego with little more than her pride, Laurel Manchester must find a viable way to return to her Oregon farm. Reed Thorne needs someone to help him sail his boat home. A completely inexperienced sailor, Laurel reluctantly agrees to serve as crew and cook. Reed Thorne eagerly welcomes Laurel's help. The death of his ex-wife has suddenly thrust Reed into the role of full-time dad. And sailing a boat while taking care of a pair of active children is definitely too much for the inexperienced dad to handle. It is only a seven-day sail from San Diego to home, and while that might not seem like a lot of time, it is enough for Laurel to realize that she isn't interested in a shipboard romance. But she might be interested in joining the crew on a permanent basis.
