Those are the last words my brother said before he left three days ago. I haven’t heard from him since. He wouldn’t abandon me, which means something happened to him. The power and phones are out. My food and water supply are getting low. I can hear the fighting and gun shots throughout the day and night. They are getting closer to my house. Aliens have invaded our planet, but it’s our own citizens I’m most afraid of. I don’t think they know I’m here. Yet. But my luck is about to run out. I can hear them coming. I don’t know if I’ll be able to fight them off. Born blind, I rely on my other senses and seeing-eye dog. Just when I think all is lost, a stranger steps in and saves the day. Maddox seems like a good guy. His voice is sexy as sin. But with all the craziness going on in the world, how can I trust him? Especially when I can tell he is hiding something from me.
