Unlikely Pair

(2026)
(The third book in the Nashville Players series)
A novel by

Two parents. One deal. A pair no one expected.

They call me ‘The Bang Queen.’
No, not for that reason.
It’s because I’m known around Nashville for being the go-to person when you’re convinced bangs will fix your problems.
Now I have a new nickname—girlfriend of Asher Reed, star hockey player for the Music City Rockers.
But I’m not.
Let me explain.
As a tired single mom, I don’t have time for many things. My days are pretty packed between my son, my job, and planning my sister’s wedding to my baby daddy.
Yes, you read that right.
The last thing I have time for is dating, which is why Asher Reed is the perfect fake boyfriend. He’s gorgeous, also doesn’t want a relationship, and he’s teammates with my ex.
If I’m going to fake date someone, I’m going to do it right.
The best part? This temporary arrangement was his idea. As a widowed single dad, he’s tired of people pushing for him to get back out there.
It’s the perfect plan. No way am I going to fall in love with the six-foot-five defenseman with perfect hair who’s the epitome of a girl dad.
Right?
That is until I see him in a tuxedo.
Until he holds me against him.
Until he kisses me.
It’s then I realize I never stood a chance.
Because this pairing might’ve been unlikely, but now I’m wondering if this relationship was always meant to be.
