Rampage can’t get over those few short weeks in Tennessee. He went to help out his club to end a human trafficking ring. In the process, he meets a woman who takes his breath away and makes him think about the future. However, she has issues of her own to deal with. Ones she isn’t fully willing to share. Before he can get her trust and find out what those are, she betrays his brother’s woman and, in his mind, him. He’s determined to find her in order to make her pay. He hardens his heart and returns to Tenillo with vengeance on his mind. Only no one seems able to find her. His desire to make her pay smolders.
Ember knows that she betrayed someone she was starting to think of as a friend and she hates that she did. She hates the fact that the man she has come to know, the one man who has ever attracted her, now hates her. She runs. She has too much to lose. She can’t let the danger get too close. Maybe if she had spoken up, things might have been different. However, that’s what she’s come to expect in life. She will never be truly happy.
However, her luck runs out and she has to turn to the ones she betrayed for help. Will they help or tell her she’s on her own? The hate she sees in Rampage’s eyes makes her sick. Rampage isn’t willing to hear what she has to say. However, her agony and terror causes the Infidels to question what they really know. Terrible things are revealed. Hearts are opened wide. New beginnings are on the horizon, but only if they can remove the threat before the threat finds and takes her.
