October Rees comes from a prestigious showjumping yard and sees it as a bit of a comedown when she lands a job in the stables on Muddypuddle Lane. She has a good reason for leaving her previous position, so she just has to make the best of it and try not to look back.
Still reeling from a disastrous romance, the last thing she wants right now is a relationship, but when handsome Luca Dalton tries to show off his horse-riding skills and comes a cropper, then asks her out on a date, October can’t resist saying yes.
Unfortunately, October’s past doesn’t stay where it’s supposed to be, and to her dismay their budding romance might have fallen at the first hurdle.
Meanwhile, Petra Kelly has been working herself into the ground to keep her stables running, and she also has the added worry of the business’s precarious financial position to deal with. Her partner, Harry Milton, thinks he has the perfect solution, but it all depends on whether Petra is willing to take a chance.
Then Petra discovers something that will turn her whole world upside down, and makes her question just how strong their love is…
This is the fifth novella in the Stables on Muddypuddle Lane series, and although it can be read on its own, you will have much more fun if you read the books in sequence and you’ve followed Petra and Harry’s story from the beginning.
