For the first time in my life, I had friends. I had good friends who cared about me. I was far away from my brother and I had friends.

Too bad I was so lonely.

That was why I jumped in when Seth said he needed a baby sitter.

I knew I shouldn’t have. I knew Spencer would find out and I’d be in trouble, but I couldn’t turn Seth and Jonas away. I couldn’t say no to the chance to spend my days with that sweet little boy.

I should have trusted my instincts and stayed away. I should have known Spencer would do something horrible.

When Marjorie began getting sick and I couldn’t leave Jonas with her anymore, I had no idea what I was going to do. The wives of my teammates were already so busy with their own kids to watch Jonas.

Then Bethany said she would watch Jonas and I thought that was all I needed.

It would have been so much easier if I didn’t fall in love with the woman. I couldn’t stop myself, though and it ultimately saved her.

Now I couldn’t live without her and I never wanted to be without her again.
