A novel by

One fateful night, while on a business trip, James Connor picks up a flirtatious girl in a hotel bar.

Three days later he is arrested for her murder.

Rebecca Main has been found strangled in a ditch outside her house, inches away from where Connor had dropped her off the night before.

All the evidence points against him and the police refuse to listen to his story.

Connor is sentenced to seven years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

On his release Connor is a bitter man, determined to prove his innocence and bring down the policeman he blames for his arrest.

He returns to the scene of the crime and does some investigating of his own.

But he soon discovers that the town holds many more secrets than he first thought.

And the more Connor discovers, the more danger he is in himself...
