Breed of Giants

"Breed of Giants" is the story of Josh and Peg Johnson, Shire horse breeders in Cumberland. Their hopes of prosperity are shattered when their championship stallion is crippled by an attack by a wild animal. Josh's obsession with revenge leads to a chain of disasters, culminating in an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. But Josh and Peg face the daunting challenge of rebuilding their stud - and their life - together with the traditional and heart-warming support of the Lakeland people.
