Tongue-tied by the Mountain Man
(2025)(A book in the Willowbrook Ridge Lodge series)
A Story by Julia Stone
Aubrey:
I thought I could escape my problems by running to the mountains with nothing but a sleeping bag and a dream to escape everything I had left behind. Instead, I end up lost and way over my head. Just when I think things can't get worse, a silent, rugged ranger appears out of nowhere to kick me off the mountain.
He doesn’t speak a word, but his brooding gaze says plentyand now, thanks to him, I’m stuck in his watch tower once I reveal I’ve got nowhere to go.
I should feel grateful. Instead, I wonder what it would take to crack his quiet exterior.
Garth:
I don’t do people. I don’t do small talk, and I sure as hell don’t do bubbly runaways who think the mountain is their personal playground.
When I find Aubrey lost and out of her depth, I have no choice but to take her in. Now my communication device is broken, and she won’t stop talking, smiling, or trying to "help." It’s infuriatingand worse, it’s working.
The more time we spend in this cramped tower, the harder it is to resist her relentless sunshine personality. I might’ve saved her life, but she’s the one breaking down all my walls.
Genre: Romance
