Friends of Calamity
(2026)(The fourth book in the Silver Locket Legacies series)
A novel by Kennedy Sutton
Merchant sailor-turned-pirate, Jon Holt is torn between the obligation to save his old friend, Lil Compton, from the notoriously cruel pirate king, Alexander Keightley and rescuing his great love, Effie, who has been kidnapped by Commander Tala Li of the Eastern Pirate Fleet. The war he started with Keightley is building, and the politics of building his own fleet proves far more challenging than he could have guessed.
Left in the dark about the rules of her captivity aboard Tala’s flagship, Scout, Effie is more adrift than ever, but her stretch as a lone prisoner is short lived. A familiar man is brought aboard soon after her arrival, brutalized and near death. In his feverish sleep, he mutters a name Effie cannot ignore: Lil.
Separated by icy seas and the games of pirates, Jon and Effie can only hope that by the time they are reunited, they will be one step closer to building a fleet powerful enough to rid the seas of the evil that is Alexander Keightley, save Lil, and determine if their love really can withstand a life where trust is hard to find and death hangs over their heads like the sails they live by.
Genre: Thriller
