Lora Senf is a writer of dark and twisty stories for all ages. She credits her love of words to her parents and to the public library that was walking distance from her childhood home. Lora finds inspiration for her writing in her children’s retellings of their dreams, on road trips through Montana, and most recently in an abandoned abattoir.
She is a member of SCBWI, Horror Writers Association, and the Pacific Northwest Writers Association. She lives in Washington State with her husband, their twins, and two remarkably lazy cats. The Clackity is her first novel. You can find her spending too much time on Twitter @Lora013 or visit her at lorasenf.com.

Lora Senf recommends
Worry Box (2026)
Chris Panatier
"Chris Panatier's Worry Box is a suburban, white-picket dream turned nightmare and a fresh take on what it means to haunt and be haunted. This book crept under my skin and preyed on my most maternal instincts. I was scared, sad, hopeful, and sick to my stomach by turn - sometimes all in the same chapter. I couldn't put it down."
Wretched Waterpark (2022)
(Sinister Summer, book 1)
Kiersten White
"If you like stories about mostly perfectly nice children in imperfectly spooky situations, you'll adore Kiersten White's Wretched Waterpark! It's both give-you-the-chills-creepy and laugh-in-a-room-by-yourself-funny. Full of heart and bravery and the most wonderful weirdness."
