Welcome to Grimmstone Security. Gear up. We have another mission.
Ryder ‘Raptor’ Quinn is your average soldier. He gears up, he goes out, he gets the job done, and then he comes home. He’s never questioned a mission before because he’s never had to. Or he hasn’t until he gets this one. Babysitting Poppy Caldwell was never on his list of things he wanted to do. She’s bookish, a homebody, and annoyingly inquisitive. Everything he desperately wants to hate but can’t, because it'''s only a matter of time before she gets under his skin.
Poppy Caldwell is the only daughter of arms maker Alexander Caldwell, a genius in his own right, and it’s drawn everyone’s attention, both good and bad. All she wants is to be left alone to run her bookshop. However, that’s easier said than done, especially when The Deadwood Syndicate sets their eyes on her father, putting her in their crosshairs, too.
They aren’t the only ones with eyes on her, either.
Can Ryder and Grimmstone Security keep her safe? Will she get to go back to her old life? Or does fate have something else in store for her?
Genre: Fantasy
