Will a white chimp save its rescuers or get them killed?

Journalist Isabella Green travels to Sierra Leone, a country emerging from civil war, to write about a chimpanzee sanctuary. Animals are her obsession, and she can't resist getting involved with a project on the verge of bankruptcy. Together with Ten, a local boy, and Pete, an army veteran, she sets out to save it.
When they rescue a rare white chimp from a village controlled by a dangerous rebel splinter group, the media interest could save the sanctuary. But the rebels believe the chimp's voodoo power makes them invulnerable to bullets, and they are determined to take her back and storm the capital.
With Ten taken and Pete gone, only Isabella stands in the rebels' way.

She has spent her life walking away from hard choices. Now she has to stand and fight.
