Love to Hate the Duke
(2027)(A book in the Disreputable Dukes of Club Damnation series)
A Story by Sandra Sookoo
There is a fine line between hate and love, but walking it oftentimes feels likes miles
Henry Alderman, tenth Duke of Forsythe, is not best pleased to be called to account in the middle of a crowded drawing room. And from a captivating woman he thought he’d consigned to his past, no less. Of course, in retrospect, he shouldn’t have responded in kind, which led to a surprisingly passionate kiss, as well as the scandal of the summer, but there is nothing for it.
Miss Meredith Amherst has despised Forsythe for at least five years. He was the one who ruined her younger sister and he was the one who brought so much shame and gossip against her family that they were forced to stay away from London. Now he would finally be dressed down and have that shame heaped upon his own head. Except her plan didn’t go quite as she’d hoped. Damn his eyes.
Two days later, the enemies found themselves perilously close to being lovers, and as their families both call for an engagement, Meredith puts her foot down. She refuses to wed to the handsome scoundrel, but as the truth becomes untangled from the gossip and rumor, the duke launches a campaign to catch the bird already in the bush, so to speak. Since they’re already forced together, why not reap the carnal benefits? If they’re fortunate, they’ll realize they might have been a perfect match all along.
unless a couple takes the trip together and meets love along the way.
Genre: Historical Romance
