The Long Road Home

Baldwin Tavares, his charge, and the shifter who has joined them managed to triumph over the obstacles in their path—including each other!—to get out of the Roach-infested city and reach Win’s team and then, beyond that, the relative safety of the Resistance. And yet, having reached the place where they and the others were supposed to meet, Win sees his crew is nowhere to be found! Around them, old enemies and new ones make their move against them.

Win has been through much in the past five years, but it’s only now that he sees he has at least never been alone. He must find his team, protect the child and the shifter at his side, and reach the Resistance—but how can he do it by himself?

As Win gets ready to fight the unexpected—humans like him, instead of Champions and Spiders!—he may learn that his role in this world is different than what he thought it was.
