I accidentally walked into the wrong on-call room.
And found the head surgeon coming out of the shower.
I was twenty hours into my shift when the charge nurse told me to go and rest in Room 3B.
But I was so tired that I accidentally walked into 3A and didn’t even realize it.
I went straight to the bed, got under the covers, and immediately passed out from exhaustion.
Thirty minutes later, I felt someone gently pressing against my shoulder and woke up still half asleep.
I opened my eyes to see Dr. Wilder shirtless with a towel around his waist.
I threw the covers off and jumped out of bed, too embarrassed to explain why I was sleeping in his room.
I tried to rush past him, but the clip on my scrubs caught part of his towel and took it with me.
Now I’m definitely getting fired.

‘Do you mind giving that back?’
