When trust is a death wish, falling in love might just be the dumbest thing she’s ever done.
Danika Smith never planned to get attached. She’s a hitwoman, not a hopeless romantic. But somehow, between dodging assassination attempts and trying (and failing) to keep Emilio De Luca at arm’s length, she’s found herself in the one place she swore she’d never befalling for someone she was supposed to use.
Now, she’s stuck navigating the chaos of an almost-relationship with a man who shouldn’t trust her, while secretly plotting a murder they definitely can’t get caught committing.
Between Emilio’s determination to break down her walls, Danika’s struggle to let him, and the small issue of a brewing gang war, and a stolen set of twins, things are getting out of hand.
Fast.
Emilio is convinced she’s capable of something softer. Danika is convinced she’s not. And the deeper they get into their tangled web of violence, deception, and feelings (ugh), the more she realizes she might not just be caught up in his worldshe might actually want to stay in it.
Which is fine. Totally fine.
As long as their secrets don’t get them killed first.
Or Yakov. He might murder them all.
Saving The Mafia Man is book two in a trilogy following Danika Smith, a recently retired hitwoman who needs a mark to stay sane, and Emilio De Luca, a sweet and soft mafia man, who's currently pretending to be in charge of his family of menaces. This story is hilarious, slow burn spicy, and thrilling. It follows Danika as she seeks revenge against an old enemy, whilst Emilio does whatever he can to get out of his unwanted arranged marriage, to that same mans daughter. Expect lots of fun flipped tropes, in this found family and female stalker story with mild forced proximity & strangers to friends to lovers. In a MF, romantic comedy & suspense trilogy.
This series is full of interconnected standalones, duologies, trilogies, and more a world of powerful families, deadly rivalries, and unforgettable love stories. Each character in each main family (and the fun side characters) gets their own story with a complete ending but I think it's more fun to read them all and see all the great cameos and shenanigans that occur.
