Up north, in what they call The Last Frontier, we play by a different set of rules. Everything is brutal, from the weather down to the criminal underworld.
I’m a Royal Bastard through and through. I live by the club’s code. I don’t take shit, I dish out plenty, and I never lay a hand on a woman unless she asks me to. So, I don’t take too kindly to these scumbag Russian mobsters playing sex-trafficking roulette on my watch. Not in my backyard.
Then there’s Cassie. She ain’t good for business, but when my Pres says, “Keep an eye on her,” watching her becomes my part-time job, and I can’t say I don’t want to go fulltime with it. Yet, keeping her safe means keeping her close, and the closer we get, the more danger she’s in.

It’s always freezing up here. Maybe I shouldn’t have moved to Alaska, but my drive to help some of the city’s homeless kids was too strong. I never expected things to be this… cold.
These kids aren’t safe, and my new personal bodyguard seems to think I’m in as much danger as they are. Rain. What am I going to do with him? He’s not the relationship type, but he is gentle with me. How can a man so frozen be so warm? And how could I go from being so closeminded about bikers to constantly craving one of my own?
