The Guardian Heart

Holly Brown has just begun to date Ben Harvey, in what they call a happy friendship, when he vanishes on compassionate leave. Returning to work, he's no longer the happy-go-lucky man she knew -- he's now guardian to his small orphaned niece and nephew. Holly offers all the comfort she can to Ben and the little ones, and he's deeply grateful, but his hot-and-cold attitude makes her wonder if he has real feelings for her, or sees her only as a substitute mother....
