Would you commit a felony to save someone you love?

A fast-paced cocktail of a heist with some seriously unexpected twists.

A desperate man who'll do anything to save the woman he loves. A burly cop who always gets his man. And a double-cross that you won't see coming.

Even after thirty-odd years as a cop, Detective Steel has never been presented with a scenario like this, but he has to act upon the tip-off he's been given. Sometime during the race that stops the nation, a bank is set to be robbed. But to catch the thieves, Steel must let the heist happen. He's about to make the quickest bust in history. At least, that's the plan!

As the deadline looms, the conflicting clues begin to unravel, and Steel uncovers a twisted tale of desperation that's as wrong as it is right.

But he can't back down now. Steel's about to put everything on the line and he won't go down without a fight.

Non stop intrigue, twists, turns, secrets and lies. Just when you think you've got it figured out, you'll be wrong. Double Take will keep you guessing right to the end.

What readers are saying about DOUBLE TAKE:

"This story is so well planned and well written, it was as if it had actually happened! I was riveted to my chair while reading the twists and turns - if I could give it 6 stars, I would!" Multi-Mystery Fan

Double Take is an action-filled crime story, with a range of well-drawn characters and a great plot. I loved the ending. History Lover

Kendall Talbot is the master of the anti-hero. The story of Jack's crime in Double Take is suspenseful and has its twists, but will also make you question right and wrong. The switches between points of view flesh out the story, and are used brilliantly to create a twist at the end.

Oh my goodness - what a piece of work! Double Take was a thoroughly enjoyable crime novel with a difference, and one which I have no hesitation in recommending.

If you have read Kendall's other work, you will know the great talent she has for creating vibrant, sympathetic and entirely likable characters who aren't who you'd expect. The cast of characters in Double Take are exactly that: bank robbers with altruistic intentions, dissatisfied business owners, and curious kids among them. Double Take is engaging and beautifully paced, with perfect measures of tension, emotion, humour and drama. Well worth losing sleep to!
