(2026)(Book 156 in the Tales of the Old West series)
A novel by Paul L Thompson
A brand new adventure from Paul L. Thompson!
When sixty-one-year-old Judge Malcolm Johnston wanted to marry twenty-two-year-old Jessica Williams, the whole town of Albuquerque, New Mexico danced and partied until midnight. Sheriff Gus Dasklas knew the girl was crazy.
As grown men stood around the punch bowl, Homer Bass was over half drunk as he said, ‘What a man Malcolm must be. Don’t think I could handle that young lady.’
Twenty-three-year-old Darren Evans snickered. ‘Yeah, she nailed him alright, just what we needed.’
His friend downed a glass of punch and said, ‘Yeah, uh-huh. Now we’ll get stuff done and not worry about law. Yep, things are shor lookin’ up alright.’ His right hand was on the butt of his pistol as a wicked grin came to his lips.
Darren said, ‘Yeah, shame Jeremy went an’ got his self killed. He’d ah liked this.’
Cobb laughed. ‘Yeah, least ah few feet under dirt he won’t bad mouth Jessica ever ah gain. One too many times doin’ that got ah big ol’ hole blowed clean through him.’
