Flight to Takla-Ma

High on the list of US astronaut candidates, Major Al Riley is suddenly disqualified when his clandestine love affair with a fellow astronaut's wife culminates in her shocking death. But Riley is given a chance to redeem himself by making a top secret flight over a Russian missile base in the Asian desert of Takla-Ma. Shot down by Soviet rockets, Astronaut Riley gets the full "enemy-spy" treatment -- injection by weird truth drugs, an ordeal before a firing squad, and the inevitble communist enchantress, who visits his cell to serve Party purposes...and stays to serve Riley's own!
