He knows her, after all. She’s part of a group he’s become friendly with out at Safety Tulaine’s farm. He kicks himself when, with a slip of the tongue, he calls her beautiful. Mac sees skepticism instantly flaring up in her pretty brown eyes, but he’s not taking it back. She’s freaking gorgeous. How had he not noticed that before? It defies his past experiences, but this shy conundrum of a woman just does something for him.
