FORD ATKINS
All he had to do was keep his head down and make it through this season. No more fighting. No more girls. No more nothing. He was going to walk the straight and narrow. It would have worked if that reporter had not gotten in his face. One minute he wanted to p@nch the guy in the face and shove his recorder so far down his throat it comes out the other end, and the next, Cam Gunn was making him feel things he thought he long ago buried and left way in his past. But Cam is the least of his worries. Not only does he have a stalker, but someone tried to kill him, and he’s afraid they may come after Cam, too.
CAMERON ‘CAM’ GUNN
He was never one to smile pretty and play nice, but he had been caught making out with his editor’s daughter. To make amends and keep his job, he agrees to cover for their sports reporter while he is out. Too bad he hated all sports with a passion, but he likes pushing Ford Atkins’ buttons. Something about the big, burly football player has Cam racing to the field to ask more questions. When he starts dreaming about Ford, he writes it off as a product of all the research he is doing. But something happens one night that has his pulse racing and the reporter in him itching. Ford is in danger, and Cam wants to do anything to help the man out…even if it pushes them impossibly close together.
If they can survive the threats to their lives, they just might find something they have both been missing.
