When Stuart Perdy wakes up after a six-week coma, he no longer recognises his home town of Quondam.
The streets are eerily clean, there are cameras installed in the trees, and the local pub no longer serves alcohol. Under the rule of the mysterious yet charming new mayor, Frank Sanders, everyone has become obsessed with their health. And children as young as sixteen, including Stuart’s own daughter, are encouraged to ‘pair’ with members of the opposite sex and become pregnant.
Why is Stuart the only one to be shocked by these changes? Why is everyone meekly going along with them, and could it have something to do with the new brand of tea they're all drinking?
Stuart decides to try and find out what’s going on. The truth, when he finally uncovers it, is more horrifying than he could possibly imagine.
