Russ Hartmann was a wandering cowboy who had seen better days. Two riders followed him out of the past: one brought good news, the other brought murder and disaster. When the Brothers Death took a hand, it appeared certain that Hartmann would go under. But a ranching lady coveted his skill with a gun, and he went to work for her.
