U.S. Marshal Thomas Kent arrives in Wekosha, Kansas on the trail of the Slattery Gang, a notorious band of deadly bank robbers. The sheriff won't help because the mayor, who runs the town, is the gang leader's father, which means no matter what anyone does, the jail has an open door policy.
Now one of the robbers has gone missing along with the loot from the last robbery. Has he run off with the cash leaving his wife, Peggy, to face the wrath of the gang? Are they working together? Or did Peggy murder her husband to keep the money for herself?
