What would you risk if you had nothing left to lose?

Ravaged by drugs, alcohol, and PTSD, Tom Logan awaits death in a Louisiana mental hospital. Everyone except Liesl, a young nurse who can still see a glimmer of hope in Tom's eyes, has given up on him. If she can revive him from his drug-induced coma, she believes something in the unopened package beside his bed will restore his soul.

The object in the package is an uncut diamond sent to Tom by his younger brother Bill who has gone missing in the wilds of the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas. Once revived, Tom, his mind and body suffering from months of neglect and misuse, must battle the demons haunting his tortured psyche. What awaits him if he succeeds is high adventure fraught with mortal danger.
