Giants are coming to Picker's Lake. An old breed of monstrous thief-catchers descend on the small town in search of one with an equally large reputation. They hunt the Jester. Once a notorious thief that burgled the halls of the Imperium elite and the homes of Endeavor generals, the Jester's loot is rumored to be stashed in one of the burnt mansions outside the mountain village.
And now the Jester has returned to play, and he's brought a leviathan-sized reckoning with him. Leonidas and Preacher find themselves caught in the middle of a brewing catastrophe in a town they once called home. Now, the only way to avert calamity is to find the stolen artifacts--rumored to be cursed--before anyone else.
