Abbie Richmond has changed everything. New town, new house, new lifestyle.

No boyfriend, no traditional job. Both of those lifelines were gone for good. It’s scary and exciting at the same time.

Living in the south Georgia small town she’d learned about by chance is respite from the rat race she didn’t even realize she needed a break from. And she feels close to her mother here.

She’s opening up in a way she hadn’t allowed herself to do in her old life. As she gets to know her new friends more, she finds that their lives are far from perfect. Somehow that gives her comfort and a desire to help.

Renovation is a challenge on the big Victorian house she’d chosen. But she’s so happy about the quirky character that the issues don’t bother her. At least not too much.

When an unexpected diagnosis pulls her back to St. Louis, she’s bothered that her renovation project will have to stop after she’s just gotten her head around what needs to be done. But she can’t ignore this situation. True friends are there for each other no matter what.

When she finally returns to Willow Springs, the surprise of a lifetime waits for her along with a budding friendship that has promise to become very special with time.
