Badge or bullet...Which was waiting for Bob James in Singara? He'd been hired as the town's first lawman, but the job offer didn't come close to describing the town's troubles. Stages were held up; cattle were rustled; gold shipments were intercepted in spite of secret Wells Fargo schedules. Everyone insisted the bandits were strangers. But how could strangers know the times of secret shipments? Bob began to wonder if Singara really wanted a sheriff.
