When Tiffany Titus shows up in the emergency room with three broken ribs and an eye that might not be saved, Logan sets out to do what he always does: Find the man responsible and make sure he doesn't do it again. But his number one suspect, ex-con Johnny P. Jones, turns out to be the least likely person to have done the deed. Logan's search for the culprit gets complicated by a college professor who may or may not be on the lam from his wife, as well as the disappearance of a valuable eighteenth-century drawing. Soon Logan and Johnny, along with pistol-packing doctoral student Annie Kevorkian and young Afghanistan vet Vince Bolivar, are up against bad guys both domestic and international, and the only path to defeating them will place at least one of the crew in mortal danger.
