Pieter Waterdrinker lives in Moscow as a novelist, writer and journalist. He is also a frequent guest on Russian television. Waterdrinker studied Russian, French and law at the university of Amsterdam. Since 1986 het lived and worked mainly abroad - on the Canarian Islands, in Spain and the former DDR and the Soviet-Union - as an entertainer, a businessman and finally as the correspondent of the leading Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. Now he also works for Vrij Nederland, the VPRO radio and several other publications in Russia and the Netherlands.
